Kenmore Development (“we” or “us” or “our”) explains here what cookies and similar technologies are used on our website kendev.com, including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related or connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”). We have written it to describe what the Site actually does, rather than the full range of things a website could do. We use no advertising cookies, no web beacons and no tracking pixels.

WHAT A COOKIE IS

A “cookie” is a small piece of information a website asks your browser to store and hand back on later visits. Some are set by us (“first-party”) and some by other companies whose content appears on a page (“third-party”).

We use first-party cookies for two things only: remembering the choices you make about the embedded content described below, and remembering display preferences such as whether you are viewing properties as a list or a grid and which properties you looked at recently. We do not use cookies to build a profile of you, to follow you to other websites, or to target advertising, and there is no visitor login or checkout on this Site to keep you signed in to.

WHAT ACTUALLY RUNS ON THIS SITE

This section describes exactly what we use, rather than the generic categories most cookie policies list.

Traffic measurement — always on, no cookies
We measure site traffic with Fathom Analytics. Fathom sets no cookies, assigns you no identifier, does not follow you to other websites, and cannot single you out. Because it collects nothing personal, it runs on every visit and there is nothing to opt out of. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, or any advertising or social media pixel.

Strictly necessary — always on
Two third-party services run without asking because the Site cannot do its job without them. Google Maps loads only on pages that actually display a map, such as an individual property listing. Cloudflare Turnstile protects our forms from automated abuse. Both are limited to those specific purposes.

Embedded content — off until you ask for it
Some pages include content hosted by other companies: resident reviews from Birdeye, 3D property tours from Matterport, videos from YouTube, and posts from Instagram. These companies can set their own cookies once their content loads, so we do not load any of it automatically. In its place you will see a notice naming the company, with a button to load it. Nothing is requested from that company until you press it. If you do, we remember that choice for that company so you are not asked repeatedly, and you can undo it at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. YouTube videos are loaded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.

Our own cookies
We store your consent choices (which embedded content you have allowed, and whether you chose “Essential only”), a random identifier used only to tie those choices to our consent records, and preferences such as your property list or grid view and recently viewed properties. These are first-party, are not shared with anyone, and are not used for advertising.

Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you have not made a choice yourself, we treat that as “Essential only” and load no embedded content automatically.

CONTROL OF COOKIES

On this Site. The simplest control is the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page. It reopens the consent bar, where one button lets embedded content load automatically and the other stops it and withdraws any permission you have already given. Stopping it does not remove the content: each item still shows a short notice naming the company and a button to load just that one, so you can view something without allowing the rest.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal and you have not made a choice yourself, we treat it as a decision to load no embedded content automatically.

In your browser. Most browsers accept cookies by default, and you can remove or reject them in your browser’s settings. Be aware that blocking all cookies will also discard the choices you have made here, so you may be asked again on each visit. Industry opt-out tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative’s are aimed at advertising cookies. We set none, so there is nothing of ours for those tools to switch off.

OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Some websites use web beacons or pixel tags — tiny embedded images used to record that a page or email was opened. We do not use them on this Site. Our traffic measurement is done by Fathom Analytics as described above, which needs no cookie, no beacon and no identifier.
